What Planets Are Out Tonight?

June 2019



During the month of June 2019, the planets Mars, Mercury, and Jupiter will be visible in the evening sky. (To see a closer view, click on the image.)

After sunset, look for two "stars" next to each other, above the western horizon. The brighter of those two is Mercury, the fainter one is Mars. Then turn your head and look toward the east. The bright "star" low above the eastern horizon is the planet Jupiter!
