November 2018

During the month of November 2018, the planets Mars and Saturn will be visible in the evening sky. (To see a closer view, click on the image.)

Neither planet is especially bright, but both can be seen with the eyes alone. After sunset, they'll be some of the first "stars" visible. Saturn is slightly fainter than Mars, and will appear low above the southwestern horizon. Mars will be brighter and higher in the sky than Saturn, visible above the southern horizon.
